The Internet is a part of the daily lives of billions of people around the world. Playing a role in the workplace, at home, and everywhere in between, an Internet connection is no longer a luxury but a necessity. Merten Reglitz, a lecturer at the University of Birmingham, puts it this way, “Internet access is no luxury, but instead, a moral human right and everyone should have unmonitored and uncensored access to this global medium — provided free of charge for those unable to afford it.” On the one hand, is the push for free Internet access, and on the other hand, there is the all-important question of Internet availability; Internet speed is another talking point.
