Role Overview: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

As the CEO of FintechNGR, you will lead the strategic and operational direction of the Association, driving initiatives that shape the future of Fintech in Nigeria. Reporting directly to the Governing Council, you will implement transformative strategies, engage key stakeholders, and ensure the Association’s long-term impact and success.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

• Implement the Governing Council’s vision and strategic plans.
• Represent FintechNGR in high-level engagements with policymakers, industry leaders, and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with the Governing Council to refine long-term goals and operational plans

Operational Management

• Oversee daily operations, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
• Manage directorates, including Membership Services, Advocacy, Learning, and Innovation.
• Establish performance metrics to measure success across all directorates

Advocacy and Stakeholder Engagement

• Advocate for policies that promote a thriving Fintech ecosystem.
• Build strong relationships with members, regulators, and international organizations.
• Foster collaboration to drive innovation and investment.

Governance and Reporting

• Report to the Governing Council on performance and industry developments.
• Ensure compliance with board decisions and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare strategic plans, budgets, and performance reports.

Innovation and Ecosystem Development

• Lead initiatives positioning Nigeria as a global Fintech hub.
• Develop partnerships supporting emerging technologies and capacity building.

Key Qualifications and Competencies

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Technology, or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of professional experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role in Fintech, financial services, or technology.
• Proven track record in strategic planning and program implementation.

Skills and Attributes

• Deep understanding of Nigeria’s Fintech ecosystem and global trends.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders, including policymakers and industry leaders.
• Advocacy and public speaking skills to represent the Association locally and internationally.
• Demonstrated ability to drive innovation and foster collaboration.
